    Ireland's Food Safety Complaints Surge in 2025

    In 2025, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland reported 9,882 complaints, marking a 23% increase from the previous year. The majority of complaints were related to unfit food (33%) and poor hygiene (28%). Reports of suspected food poisoning decreased to 26%. The FSAI stressed the importance of public reporting for enhancing food safety inspections.
