    Matthew Wright, ex-CEO of Southern Water, faces conspiracy to defraud charges from the Environment Agency and Ofwat. He, along with three others, allegedly manipulated water quality tests from 2012 to 2017 to avoid penalties. The EA claims Southern Water evaded around £45 million in penalties, leading to criminal proceedings against the company and former employees.
