    The European Union has imposed a €900 million fine on Google for unfair practices related to search results and its app store. This penalty, the largest under the Digital Markets Act, includes €460 million for self-preferencing and €430 million for steering users away from cheaper app options. Google has 60 days to comply with the EU's mandates for fair treatment of competing services.
