    EU Fines Google €890 Million for Unfair Practices

    The European Union has imposed a record €890 million fine on Google for violating the Digital Markets Act. This penalty includes €460 million for self-preferencing in search results and €430 million for unfair practices in its app store. Google has 60 days to rectify these issues or face further penalties, as mandated by the European Commission.
