    EU considers crackdown on misleading influencer marketing

    The EU is planning to strengthen regulations on influencer marketing, particularly regarding weight-loss jabs and cosmetic surgery. Ireland’s EU Commissioner Michael McGrath is leading the Digital Fairness Act, which aims to protect consumers from misleading promotions. The act will address dark patterns and addictive designs but will not regulate family influencers using children in advertisements.
