    ESB has increased its electric vehicle charging prices by up to 14%, making public charging more expensive than petrol or diesel for most vehicles. New rates range from 55 to 73 cents per kWh, influenced by rising energy and operational costs. This follows a similar price hike by Ionity, as EV sales in Ireland surge by 54% this year.
