    EasyJet profits drop 70% due to fuel costs

    EasyJet reported a 70% decline in pre-tax profits, falling to £85 million for the three months ending June 30, down from £286 million the previous year. The drop is attributed to rising fuel costs of £105 million linked to the Iran war and decreased bookings. Despite slight improvements in bookings, the airline's future remains uncertain.
