    Ireland's Budget Committee Recommends Tax Adjustments

    The Oireachtas Budgetary Oversight Committee has proposed linking income tax bands to inflation and adjusting the fuel allowance to reflect rising energy costs. The Nevin Economic Research Institute supports this indexation but cautions against overall tax cuts during the cost-of-living crisis. Concerns were also raised about the stagnation of the household benefit package since 2013.
