    Northern Ireland Construction Output Reaches 2008 Levels

    The construction sector in Northern Ireland has returned to levels last seen in 2008/09, with output hitting £4.9 billion in the last financial year. Housing output grew by 27% year-on-year, driven by a boom in activity. Despite a 1% decline in the first quarter of 2026, overall output remains 10.1% higher than the previous year.
