    ComReg Increases Staff for Cybersecurity Duties

    The Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg) has expanded its workforce by 25%, raising staff numbers from 162 to 202 to manage new cybersecurity responsibilities. This includes oversight of cloud providers under EU directives. ComReg reported a surplus of €26.5 million and has blocked 170 million scam calls since October 2024, enhancing consumer protection.
