    A motorcycle race in Co Dublin was cancelled following the death of a competitor in his 50s during the Skerries 100 event. The incident occurred during the second race, with emergency services confirming the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. This marks the first death at the Skerries 100 since 2018 and the third motorcycle race fatality in Ireland this year.
