    Irish Government Extends Fuel Duty Cuts Until 2026

    The Irish government has extended fuel excise duty cuts until September 1, 2026, in response to protests over rising fuel prices. This extension will cost an additional €270 million and delays planned increases in excise duty. A phased re-introduction of these duties will begin in September, with gradual increases leading to full restoration by December.
