    Burnham Unaware of £4.7bn Defence Funding Gap

    Andy Burnham reportedly learned about a £4.7 billion funding gap in the UK Defence Investment Plan only after its publication. Defence Secretary Dan Jarvis stated that the Treasury's breakdown was shared with Burnham on the same day. The funding plan includes a £15 billion increase, but only £10.3 billion has been identified, leaving £4.7 billion to be confirmed later.
