    Burnham reinstates £2 bus fare cap

    Prime Minister Andy Burnham has reintroduced a £2 bus fare cap, reversing a previous increase to £3 set by former Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer. The cap will be effective from January and last until March 2027, aiming to ease the cost of living for millions. Funding will come from reallocating international climate project grants to loans.
