    BT and Verizon merge international businesses

    BT has reached an agreement with Verizon to merge their international operations, forming a joint venture valued at approximately four billion US dollars. This partnership will serve over 3,000 customers in more than 180 countries. Verizon will pay BT 625 million US dollars as part of the deal, with both companies becoming equal shareholders.
