    Nine-Year-Old Receives Heart Transplant After Long Wait

    Dáithí Mac Gabhann, a nine-year-old from Belfast, has successfully undergone a heart transplant after an eight-year wait due to hypoplastic left heart syndrome. His family is grateful to the donor and has campaigned for organ donation reforms, leading to the introduction of 'Dáithí’s Law' in Northern Ireland, which changes consent for organ donation. Recovery is just beginning for Dáithí.
