    Blur drummer loses £200m royalty legal battle

    David Rowntree, the drummer of Blur, has lost his legal bid to continue a challenge against the Performing Right Society (PRS) regarding £200 million in music royalties. The Court of Appeal dismissed his appeal, stating that the PRS's distribution of 'black box' royalties is based on data issues and cannot be matched to individual works. Rowntree's claim aimed to support 160,000 songwriters.
