    Bloomsbury to receive £1.1 billion copyright settlement

    Bloomsbury, the publisher of Harry Potter, is set to receive a payout from a $1.5 billion (£1.1 billion) copyright settlement against AI firm Anthropic. This settlement, the largest in US history, follows a lawsuit alleging unauthorized use of books to train AI models. Bloomsbury will share approximately $42.3 million from the settlement, benefiting both authors and the publisher.
