    Bessborough development decision causes distress

    The Labour Party leader Ivana Bacik expressed deep disappointment over the decision to allow 106 apartments to be built on the Bessborough site in Cork, a former mother-and-baby home. Bacik highlighted concerns about potential human remains on the grounds and criticized the lack of comprehensive records and modern surveying technology. Calls for a Compulsory Purchase Order have been made.
