    Hosepipe ban starts in six Irish counties

    A hosepipe ban is now in effect for six Irish counties, lasting from July 16 until August 26. The ban, confirmed by Uisce Éireann, prohibits the use of garden hosepipes for non-essential purposes in Dublin, south Tipperary, and parts of Kildare, Meath, Wexford, and Wicklow. The restrictions aim to conserve water supplies amid ongoing dry conditions.
