    Increase in Child E-Scooter Injuries Reported

    Children's Health Ireland reported a 50% rise in hospital admissions for traumatic brain injuries due to e-scooter incidents since legislation allowed their use in May 2024. From January 2021 to August 2025, there were 1,130 emergency visits related to e-scooter injuries. Many injured children were not wearing helmets, highlighting the need for preventive measures.
