    50% rise in children injured by e-scooters

    Children's Health Ireland reports a 50% increase in hospital admissions for traumatic brain injuries due to e-scooter incidents. In the past year, 18 children were admitted, up from 12 the previous year. Many injuries are severe, with some requiring emergency brain surgery. Calls for stricter regulations or a ban on e-scooters are growing among officials.
