    Thirty-two Irish language and Gaeltacht groups have been shortlisted for Ardán 2026, a new competition succeeding Ghlór na nGael. Over 100 entries were received, with a total prize fund of €83,000. The awards ceremony is set for September 19 at the Connacht Hotel in Galway, aiming to promote pride in the Irish language sector.
