    Dublin Solicitors Resign Over Legal Aid Dispute

    One hundred solicitors in Dublin have resigned from the Criminal Legal Aid panel in protest against a new payment scheme that offers a flat fee of €520 per client. They argue this does not adequately support vulnerable clients. Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan has stated he will not revoke the new system but may consider adjustments amid ongoing concerns about access to justice.
